Deborah started practicing Iyengar yoga in 1987 with Margaret Lunam in Kelowna , B.C. and later on with Shirley Daventry French and Ann Kilbertus from Victoria , B.C.
She was attracted to the work because of its challenging, evolutionary nature. Deborah has made four trips to India to study directly with the Iyengars and has also had the opportunity to study with Geeta Iyengar in Canada on several occasions. As well, Deborah has attended numerous workshops with senior Iyengar Yoga teachers from all over the world.
She presently holds a Senior 1 Certificate. Her love for the work and her sincere desire to foster the growth of other yoga students comes through in her teaching. Deborah has seen that yoga practice can increase energy, happiness and contentment.
